OTLM

OTLM  (overhead transmission line monitoring) system provides real-time monitoring of temperature and current on overhead lines. The aim of OTLM system to be implemented is to operate overhead transmission lines more efficiently while at the same time enhance the security of system operation, Exact data of overhead line(including clearance to the ground, clearance to crossing objects, vegetation  etc.), which can be obtained by lidar scanning method, is required in order to obtain  full advantage of  OTML system, which results also in increase of thermal line rating. Additional options  of   OTML device like clinometric measurement, outside temperature, humidity and area control help in solving many problems of modern transmission line operation like critical sag , iceing and  area control. Real time monitoring of temperature and current is also required by modern wide area monitoring systems (WAM).
