Ground composition measuring

Ground composition measuring - GPR “Ground Penetrating Radar”

Ground composition measuring technology is a solution to problems that arise from inaccurate information about the location of cable-lines, pipe-lines and other underground objects. Acquired data enable the creation of an underground cadastre, which can be used for constructing new objects. This cadastre prevents construction of new objects over existing cable-lines or pipe-lines and damages to such underground objects during construction of new objects.

This technology also enables reviewing and recording of bottom composition and profile, which enables acquiring of information about the profile of a reservoir lake - about sediments on the bottom and establishing the amounts (thickness) of deposits (mud, sediments), which were accumulated in a particular time period. Acquired data is used to determine the actual state of a river or reservoir lake bottom and is therefore important for operation of hydroelectric power plants.

Ground laser scanning of energy objects

Market economy demands the shortest possible repair, reconstruction and other work times in energy objects with the purpose of decreasing costs. Preparations for these kinds of work were carried out with classical data capturing. With laser scanning the user is able to capture data more easily from one location, which has a favourable effect on decreasing costs of work. Ground laser scanning enables a 3D overview of an object with a relative accuracy of 1-2 mm and an absolute accuracy of GPS measurements, which aids maintenance and reconstruction. It enables an overview of final work realisation, actual state of the object and as an actual PID. Acquired data can be included in a database (GRIDMC, E-NET, etc.), which enables access to all system data. Ground laser scanning enables fast, quality and economical creation of PID documentation and simple and clear creation of digital documentation in desired format. It is a basis for quick decision making for repairs, maintenance, reconstruction and simple, accurate and quick planning.
