Cable CURE

Cable CURE technology is an economical alternative to exchanging damaged MV cables. This technology increases the dialectical hardness of the cable by injecting dielectric fluid into the cable core. The fluid penetrates the cable along the core and through the cable screen into the area of polyethylene with water tree damage. At this point the reaction with water or moisture in the insulation occurs. This reaction enlarges the size of the silicone molecule and consequently locks it firmly into place in the insulation. Reaction with water remains firm for several years therefore the treatment provides complete protection from eventual penetration of additional water. The cable is cured with a 20 year financial warranty.
